A standout selection from the Valdés family’s fifth-generation estate in Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. This microlot comes from the highest-performing daily lots chosen for their sweetness, florals, and complexity.
Grown at 1,400–1,600m under rainforest canopy and constant light rain, the conditions here stretch out the harvest and deepen flavour. Wicho Valdés runs the show: an agronomist, innovator, and all-around coffee obsessive. He’s reduced chemical inputs drastically by developing on-farm organic solutions, and it shows these coffees are vibrant, clean, and full of life.
Processing is meticulous: cherries are hand-picked over 12+ passes, fermented up to 17 hours, soaked, and dried slowly across patios and raised beds in custom-built greenhouses.
Expect a cup that’s layered, sweet, and detailed—crafted by people who live and breathe this work.
