Bright, juicy, and floral — this coffee is West Arsi at its best.

This naturally processed lot comes from the village of Werka in Ethiopia’s West Arsi zone, grown at an elevation of 1,900m. It was processed at the Aash washing station, one of 28 stations owned by Testi Coffee, a family business led by Faysel Yonis that has become synonymous with precision, quality, and exceptional cup profiles. Through their Premium Cherry Selection program, Testi rewards farmers for delivering only the ripest cherries, ensuring consistency and clarity in every lot.

Aash is located on the edge of the Harenna Forest, one of Ethiopia’s last remaining natural forests, nestled within the Bale Mountains. This lush, biodiverse environment creates a unique microclimate: cooler, wetter, and ideal for coffee cultivation. Each harvest, around 750 smallholder farmers deliver their coffee to the station, where it is hand-sorted and carefully dried on raised beds. Attention to detail here is everything, cherries are turned constantly, shaded at midday, and covered at night to protect them from dew, resulting in a clean and vibrant cup.

West Arsi has quickly made a name for itself on the world stage, with coffees from this zone standing out for their structure, brightness, and fruit-forward complexity. This lot is no exception: expect an expressive profile with juicy pineapple acidity, Concord grape sweetness, and a floral lift that lingers long after the last sip.
