Single Origin, Not a Blend

We get asked this a lot, so let's set the record straight: Sunrise and Outlaw aren't blends. Never have been.

A blend means beans from different countries, sometimes different continents, roasted and mixed together. Sunrise and Outlaw are the opposite — one country, one region, one story per bag.

Sunrise runs on Brazil alone. Every bean comes from Serra da Mantiqueira in Minas Gerais, naturally processed, full stop. That's what gets you the milk chocolate, toffee and plum in the cup — not a formula stitched together from five different origins, just one place done properly.

Outlaw runs on Papua New Guinea alone. Eastern Highlands Province, washed process, a mixed varietal that's specific to that region rather than a mash-up of separate origins. That's where the fudge brownie, black cherry and toffee notes come from.

So why do they taste so consistent, bag after bag, if they're single origin? Because we're roasting for a job, not chasing a trend. Sunrise and Outlaw are both roasted specifically for milk — big body, smooth extraction, coffee that doesn't disappear under a flat white.

Single origin doesn't mean small, precious, or inconsistent. It means we know exactly where every bean in that bag came from, and so do you.
